I have had the privilege to know and work with Dr. Vidaurre since 1997. At that time, I was an assistant superintendent of human resources for an elementary school district located in Southern California. Needless to add, she proved to be an outstanding kindergarten teacher who on an annual basis received outstanding performance reviews. I also served on her doctoral dissertation committee. I eventually served as the Education Director for the College of Educational Studies of Chapman University in Orange, California. By that time Dr. Vidaurre had progressed to a faculty position at Biola University, and our professional relationship has continued to this day. As an elementary school teacher, as a university professor, and as a consultant Dr. Vidaurre has demonstrated exceptional knowledge, skill, and insight into the manner in which children learn and how parental influence and community support affects intellectual growth. Her lesson planning and development are first rate. Her ability to design and implement curriculum is characterized by outstanding and meaningful content, careful organization, and effective strategies. Dr. Vidaurre is the consummate professional. She is diligent, exceptionally bright, and competent. She is highly motivated and a person of integrity. Her work and effort have made a difference in the lives of her students and fellow educators.

I am grateful for the loving care and guidance I’ve received from Ms. Vidaurre. She was my Kindergarten teacher and helped me deal with the extreme separation anxiety I experienced upon entering school. She has been given a teaching gift to use with children. Dr. Vidaurre is able to assess the child’s needs and use their own strengths to help them overcome their learning disabilities. I now call her to help me with my stepson who has learning disabilities. She is a great teacher and I will always be grateful for all her help and advice.

Dr. Vidaurre was the type of university professor any student dreams about having. She taught me not only the fundamentals of how to teach effectively and run a successful early education classroom, but also instilled in me the importance of reaching these young hearts for Christ. She showed me that my passion for teaching did not end with ABC’s or 123’s, but rather started with those in order to raise up the next generation of equipped disciples to make a lasting impact for the gospel. The seeds of confidence she planted in my soul have grown into a garden of passion that has reached hundreds of children and impacted countless families in my 8 years as a Prekindergarten teacher.

I have known Lorena for 25 years, always training herself and others. I have seen her children grow up with that training in the love and fear of God. She has a very special calling for the emerging generations and God has endowed her with the gift of teaching to do so and to help parents pass the faith effectively to their children and grandchildren.

I have known Dr. Lorena Vidaurre for over 20 years at a professional and personal level, as a friend. She is a committed bilingual/bicultural teacher who embraces student diversity and strong parent involvement. On a personal level, Lorena has connected me to special services and educational resources to help my two Kindergarten boys. She also helped me join the Parent Education profession which allowed me to continue to grow professionally. She is an advocate and a dedicated educator who continues to impact students, parents, professionals, and friends in her daily life.

I have the privilege of being the pastor of Sister Lorena who has a genuine testimony of loving the Lord and a passionate heart to serve and help in the spiritual and emotional growth of children and at the same time has the ability to work with parents. Regarding her spiritual life, I can say that she is a mature person in the Lord and committed to the church. It is a privilege to serve the Lord alongside her and her husband. I highly recommend Dr. Vidaurre’s work.

Dr. Vidaurre has always been my inspiration and motivation for becoming a better Christian educator. Professor Vidaurre’s incessant dedication and hard work for educating the young generation to become professionals with integrity and excellence have had a lasting impact on me. I strongly believe that her passion will make a lasting impact in the world!
